Roma 3.1.06 - 3.4.06
I
guess the logical place to start when talking about Rome would be to
watch yourself! I did not think that it could happen to us, but the
muggers had their eyes on us. Two times for that matter. Watch
your purses! Enough about that.
What a city! There is so much history and awesome architecture. Although we were quite tired of walking, we had to press on because there is just so much to see. We hit all of the main tourist areas. Coliseum, Pantheon, Vatican City, ext, ext, ext. It was really quite the experiences. Rome is larger than life. It forces you to have a reality check that you are really there.
We
had a wonderful tour of the Vatican by one of Cassie's curling friends
who is studying at in Rome to become a priest. He really made the Vatican
a special place for Cassie and I. He led us through St. Peters the second
day that we were in Rome and through some other really unique churches.
It was my favorite part of Rome.
St.
Peters was my favorite place in Rome. It was such an Icon. Huge, beautiful,
and so full of history that I cannot even begin to understand. Anyone
that is overseas with some time off should really take a tour
of this Church. It is absolutely fascinating (get a tour guide)!
